TASC, S.L. has supplied the linear fibre optic fire detection system for the Lorca tunnels (Murcia). These tunnels, belonging to the A-7, are thus adapted to the fire detection requirements of the European Directive 2004/54/EC.
The tunnels consist of two tubes, one 560 metres long and the other 954 metres long. Each tube will have its own independent DTS control unit, without redundancy. The DTS control units are equipped with the ModBus communications protocol for direct communication with the tunnel management system.
